Michael Elkins for The Law Firm Internet Marketing Book: How To Use The Internet To Drive Targeted, Low Cost Leads To Your Law Firm Web Site Rating: Let's face it, the market of personal injury attorneys is overcrowded and most of the mass media is saturated with the ads of only a few firms with large advertising budgets. Most firms have websites these days, but again, that's the problem - everyone has a website. The biggest question then is how to draw potential clients to your own website. One answer is internet marketing, both the organic and the paid per click methods.

This book is a good primer for lawyers interested in exploring this new world and it provides a good explanation of such things as to how to get your website noticed by websearch sites, how to get the right kinds of links to your site, and what to do while you're waiting for your site to get noticed by the indexers, namely, pay per click advertising, mainly through Google and Yahoo! The book also provides an introduction into marketing your firm and website through social networking sites, something that many attorneys have probably never thought of exploring.

Overall, I found the book useful, although the authors make no claim that additional study of such things as search engine optimization will not be necessary. I did like the fact that the authors, unlike many in the field, did not use their book as a means to market their own product and services.

My only complaint was that the price of the book was a bit high considering that it was published in paperback form.

A lot of the tips are already outdated, like emailing Amazon to get instructions on getting your ebook listed. This is really just a list of links with a bit of text in between.

Having said that, if you're not "in the know" then it's always nice to have the links in an organized fashion. While I've had a lot of these in my book marks for while, I know of friends who would find this book a benefit for as long as it takes them to turn the list into a bookmark list.

Just so everyone understands, I appreciate the author taking the time to assemble the links, but there are hardly "insider" resources.

Loved it! Are you new to doing business online? Are you maybe already online, but you have outsourced much of your online presence and work there to others, and now you want to get more involved and maybe do it yourself? Well look no further for that introductory book that will provide introductory blurbs on all kinds of topics you will need to learn about. Each blurb is well written and informative AND provides links to further information or good resources for you to use. My recommendation is not to use the recommended resources as a complete list. Instead, use the list to give you ideas to search out more similar sites and resources so you can become an expert on the topic yourself.

There are 78 chapters/topics covered in this wonderful little book. My favorites were as follows:

Also, the heavy emphasis on keeping your budget low, not signing up for long contracts, made it easy and enjoyable starting my on-line sites.

It really does break down the different types of web sites (and hybrid-types) that make money. And after such "what do I do on the net?" fundamentals, it does add simple, inexpensive nuts and bolts to get ideas up to speed almost immediately. Examples throughout, as well as specific resource recommendations. Good for confidence, as it reveals that internet money-making is neither rocket science nor spam hype.

Review by Dan Hersam for Internet Riches: The Simple Money-making Secrets of Online Millionaires Rating: I'd never heard of Scott Fox before, but from what I read in the book, he's been quite successful at making money online. He's worked with some big names so it appears he knows what he's talking about.

The book spends most of the time covering the nuts and bolts of choosing a subject area (niche), determining its feasibility to make money, creating a web site and making the big bucks. He uses lots of case studies of people who are currently making money online, which is very useful.

I finished the book optimistic, but still a bit vague on the next action step. I'm in a bit of analysis paralysis, which he actually discusses briefly in the book. It's where you spend so much time planning and preparing to make money and learning to avoid all the pitfalls that you never take action. The book has given me some more ideas on how to make money, and I plan to refer back to it in the future as I take action.

If you're unfamiliar with how people make money online, it's a great book to help you learn. If you already know about the general methods of making money like drop shipping, selling on eBay, product development, affiliate marketing, digital information products (aka eBooks), then you probably won't find anything new.

(And I've read numerous books and ebooks on this subject.) Not only is this book inspirational, Scott gives concrete examples of successful internet businesses out there. He also asks good probing questions to get you to think about how you can create a niche for yourself online. His book is informative and helpful for anyone who wants to seriously build a business for themselves online. I wish I would have bought this book sooner. Well worth the purchase!
